Vik Kalra, Executive Vice President, joined Platform in 2014. At Platform, Vik leads the firm’s business development efforts. He also serves on the Board of Directors of ALM First, Exact Payments and July Business Services and is involved with NextEdge Networks, ShiftKey, SmartSky Networks and VetIQ Staffing. In addition, he was on the Board of Platform’s investments in Beneplace, GHR Healthcare and Vortex Companies and was involved with Firestone & Robertson Distilling. Vik previously worked as a Vice President for Parallel Investment Partners, a middle market private equity firm in Dallas. At Parallel, Vik was involved in sourcing, evaluating, structuring, managing and exiting several private equity investments. Prior to joining Parallel, Vik worked for the private equity firm, Pacesetter Capital Group, after starting his career at Bain & Company. Vik graduated Phi Beta Kappa from The University of Texas with a BA in the Plan II Honors Program and a BBA from the Canfield Business Honors Program. He received his MBA from Harvard Business School where he was a Toigo Fellow. Outside of work, Vik serves on the Advisory Board for UT’s Canfield Business Honors Program, serves on the Investment Committee for the Memorial Hermann Health System and is on the board of the Association of Corporate Growth’s Houston Chapter. He also serves on the board of EMERGE, whose mission is to empower and prepare high-performing students from Houston’s underserved communities to attend and graduate from selective colleges and universities across the nation.
