South Coast is one of the largest independent toll manufacturers of specialty chemicals and lubricant additives in North America. The company provides chemical processing, terminaling, warehousing, drumming and packaging, and other support services for the largest lubricant additive companies in the industry. South Coast operates through three locations in the Houston industrial complex with direct access to key rail hubs and the Houston Ship Channel. Platform was introduced to South Coast through Kenny Owen, a friend of Platform’s founders. Mr. Owen and his business partner, Travis Wilson, knew South Coast and its owners and were seeking a financial partner to assist in the transaction.
